The PL30's were recommended on a "best in-ear headphones" UK web article. I had never heard of the company SoundMAGIC, but was intrigued, and after doing some more research and finding many positive user reviews on other websites, I ordered a pair. They arrived today - shipping was quite efficient. The headphones are solidly made and come with about 6 different foam and rubber options for ear pieces. These are to accommodate different ear sizes, and also whether you prefer the silicone or foam type inserts.

I found the larger silicone insert very comfortable, as well as the larger foam one. I'm undecided which is better. Sound wise, assuming you have a good seal by choosing the correct insert for your ears, the sound is crystal clear, very well balanced, and there is no lack of bass. Some ipod type headphones over-emphasise the bass, however, I feel these are balanced and will sound good for any type of music, including classical. These are definitely better than the entry level sennheiser, by a good measure.

You also get a nice zip case which is well made. The fit is also improved on my previous phones - these come around the back of your ears, which prevents cable noise. This is a significant enhancement imo. All in all, I would recommend these to anyone who is serious about their audio quality, and doesn't want to break the bank.

I needed a new set of headphones for my Sony Ericsson W995 as I was having difficulty hearing the spoken language course I am taking with the supplied Sony Ericsson headphones. They were particularly poor when driving and the phones volume was set to maximun.

I did some research and found the PL30 from Soundmagic as a highly recommended set and after some additional research found Price Thriller as the cheapest and free delivery too.

The headphones arrived after a couple of days with an array of 7 different size ear tips and I found my size on the second attempt.

Sound quality is great and I only have the phone set to just over half volume.
Haven't checked them in the car yet, but I'm certain they will be fine.

I ordered these a couple of days ago and I was really impressed with the price, cheapest I found online, and was very impressed with how fast I recieved them!

The sound quality on the PL30's is as good as more expensive ones. For the price they are great, you will be pleasantly surprised. They have the right amount of base and are great to listen to. The build quality is fantastic, they're sturdy and sit nicely in the ear. They also come with loads of different rubber tips including some double headed ones (great for extra noise isolation). Would recommend and at these prices you cant go wrong!
